Recognition of Prior Learning minimum requirements
- Grade 12 with an aggregate of 950 marks and above
- Be 25 years and older
- Be a registered Ambulance Emergency Assistant (AEA) with the HPCSA
- Have a minimum of 5 years operational experience
- Be currently employed by an Emergency Medical Services
- Submit a motivational letter from his/her employer, if applicable

Requirements for Diploma in Operating Department Assistance
Grade 12 with admission to higher certificate or equivalent with an average of 50%; Old certificate: D-aggregate (950 marks).
If you are currently in Grade 11, submit your year-end results for Grade 11.

• Any science subject – NQF Level 4 with a minimum of 40% (e.g. Life Science, physical science, and biology)
