St Ambrose Nursing School Programmes

Clinicals and rotations provide experiences in real health care environments. Students are exposed to clinical areas including obstetrics, pediatrics, medical surgical, mental health and community health. Standardized testing prep is woven into the curriculum. Throughout the program, students complete national competency exams to determine acquired knowledge and licensure exam readiness.

All students are members of the local, state and national Student Nurses Association. St. Ambrose is one of the few schools in Iowa with 100 percent membership. The curriculum includes a special emphasis on social justice, health care reform and professional trends, and biomedical ethics.
