In addition to your grades and courses taken, we carefully consider what we learn about you from your recommendation letters, essay, activities, standardized test scores and other information presented about your background. Our process is thorough and individualized.

The requirements for domestic first-year, direct-entry Nursing applicants include:

  • Application Form
  • Official High School Transcript
  • Essay
  • Two Letters of Recommendation
  • Standardized Test Scores (Optional for students applying for Fall 2023 admission)
  • Interview (recommended)

Application Form
You may submit the Common Application online or by mail. If you would like an application mailed to you, please contact the Office of Admissions. There is a $60 application fee to submit a paper application; the fee is waived if you apply online. Please note: If you are a home-schooled student, use the code 970000 for the secondary school block on the Common Application.

Official High School Transcript
Your school counselor may submit your current high school transcript by mail or through the Common Application website. When your first marking period grades become available, please be sure the grades are submitted to our office. Click here to see the coursework we review as part of your high school transcript.

Essay
You must complete an essay with your Common Application.

Two Letters of Recommendation
Your recommendations should come from your school counselor and an academic teacher of your choosing. A letter from a math or science teacher is preferred for nursing candidates.

Standardized Test Scores (optional if applying for Fall 2023 admission)
Due to the extraordinary circumstances associated with the COVID-19 pandemic we have adopted a test-optional policy for students applying to the Nursing program for Fall 2023. If you choose to submit test scores, they must be sent directly from the testing agency or be indicated on your official high school transcript. The Emmanuel College CEEB code is 3368

Interview (recommended)
While not required, an interview with an admissions counselor is recommended to help the Admissions Committee learn more about your background and interest in attending Emmanuel. Interviews are offered on campus or can be scheduled with your admissions counselor while they are visiting your area.

If you choose to mail documents, pease send all application materials to the following address:
